Alright guys and girls, im reaching out too see if anyone can help me. I spun a rod bearing a few months ago and had to rebuild the bottom end. I got the truck put back together yesterday and its running like hell.. Took it too my buddies shop and this is what he told me what he found wrong with it. And not to mention i only live about 3-5 miles from his shop and by the time i got their the cat was glowing hot. Its the 3.0vze
1. Cylinder 3 is very strong
2. Cylinder 4 is dead
3. All other cylinders are firing but weak
4. No obvious vacuum leaks
5. Code 24 (IAT sensor circuit)
6. Code 51 (ac switch, closed throttle switch) i deleted the ac..
7. Code 52 (knock sensor circuit)

Anyone have any idea what my problem is??

 

when he says that cylinders are weak and strong, how did he determine that? it should have been with a compression check, so where are the actual numbers for all cylinders.

i wonder if cat glowing hot is some kind of a timing issue, or fuel firing off in the exhaust system... did you set the timing?
