874runner W56 transmission issues

Ok i will try to explain this the best i can. I have two scenarios. One I have crunch when shifting into 2nd or down shifting into 1st. And seems to get alot worse, almost twice as bad when i start the truck in the cold or after it sat for some time. Witch makes me think synchronizes. But here is my second scenario. I was on some local trail just playing around had put 4.7s gears in my case, and not really tried them out yet.Anyways had my truck in 4low. and had got stuck was shift between 1st and (R). It seemed to get really hard and to the point to were it would not go into gear no matter what i did. Clutch pedal went to the floor. Had to start in first went to push the clutch in to stop but the truck kept moving forward. And when on the street in 2Hi i can shift into 1st ok but there is some resistance accept when its cold then its very hard to first into even 1st.. Since this i have replaced my slave witch looked fine, and my master witch was leaking into the cab(All the air is out of the lines). This problem makes my think pilot bearing is shot? Replacing the two made no difference on the road have not be wheeling since. Anyone of these same problems? How did you fix it? OR do you know what the problem is. Like the tittle says its my DD and need to get it fixed. Hope to hear something soon.

Clutches can go bad without slipping, happens all the time. Sounds like the clutch plate is fine and the issue is in the press plate

Sometimes you will find bent or broke fingers on the pressure plate when it goes bad, but sometimes you cant look at it and tell. Check out http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/ts-04.htm. It is basic troubleshooting for your clutch

Ok I pulled the trans :rivers:. I have been hearing alot of ideas from all over the place. Here is what i have figured out clutch wise. -The pedal is not cracked. -But not 100% sure its going down all the way. Have some pics below will go into more detail. - Really bad leak from the trans -Release bearing looks good but had a lot of oil on it. -Pilot bearing looks brand new -Pressure plate looks like new -Clutch disk looks good wear wise but have a question i will ask below Questions 1) Is only about half of this sensor suppose to be in? Does it really affect anything? Is pushed in by the clutch pedal that's why i ask. 2) On my clutch disk when i was inspecting it. I noticed 3 or the springs in the disk were very loose? Would that effect anything? 3)The clip that hold the bearing. Is if mounted right anything seem out of place other than covered in oil? Would oil on the bearing affect anything? Here are some other pic i took. Tell me if anything seems out of place. To me i think the clutch is fine. But i know very little about manuals. So really need some input. Its my DD so need to get back on the road ASAP Trans leak BAD!!! Pilot bearing Pressure plate Clutch disk

Mine tends to get angry when its cold out too, i just double clutch to avoid grinding gears until it warms up. I'm 99% sure its just the synchros.

Ya, and jus a hunch but it might be a slave cylinder to? Not good with trannys but my friends yota did about the same thing and he jus replaced that and it was all fixed. Not hard to replace and its worth a shot. Someone correct me if im wrong tho? hah

I was going to say the same thing but if you look in the original post it does say he replaced his master and slave (although he could have formatted the post better).

To me it sounds like your clutch isn't fully disengaging between shifts. Is your clutch pedal adjusted properly? (Are our clutch pedals even adjustable? I never checked )
