87 heat A/C control panel cover

Ok, maybe i'm wrong but I havent been able to find a replacement for my broken control panel cover at anything less than RIDICULOUS prices. Finally though, after perusing eBay today I stumbled across a company called "White Gauges" that sells an overlay!!!!!! for 13.99 shipped!!!!!
True its white instead of black BUT it would sure beat the bulbs glowing in my face or the electric tape i tried to cover the holes with!
any thoughts? anybody had dealings with them?

those new run about $29 online and also check the part out threads. I can give you a more accurate part number if you need it, but don't know if you have a clock and/or ac. or you can check here. http://www.toyotapartseast.com/Page_...2316,2321,2345

Thanks for the reply xtreme.
I've found the originals on eBay for about the same price it just seemed a bit steep for a piece of thin plastic. Yeh, I've got AC and no clock. Maybe I'm just being a tightwad! Lol the original piece on my 87 doesn't cover all the way to the clock opening though. Thinking about sticking the $26 aquarium temp controller for my fan in that hole!

Ok, after looking I have to agree with you on this Xtreme. The white cover is for for the non-AC and after looking closely I have decided it woldnt be what I want. My question is: look at the bottom of the list you linked to, what is the bottom item listed on there for $2.49 that says its for "W/BV & cooler"? What is the BV referring to? Either way I will likely be ordering one from them

I was thinking of making a plate and painting it. It wouldn't light up but it would be better than the cracked and broken piece that's there.... and I agree I'm a little cheap skate myself. ;-)

I know this is old, but wanted to point out that the shipping for a piece of plastic from http://www.toyomotorparts.com is insane! $11.91 for shipping? Where is it shipping from China to California?

I've seen these on ebay for about $45-$60. There has to be a better "decent" source.

After taxes, it comes out to $44.14.

When you go on eBay, check the box for "used parts." Also try terms like "dash bezel" or "heater bezel." I paid 14.00 with free shipping for my 1st gen's heater face plate. IMO white gauges look like shoddy ricer parts.

Here's one that's at $12.50 at the moment:

Found this the other day, if you're not worried about them lighting up
