Funny...There is guy in the local club who's got one just like it. Wierd how he was able to get it licenced, insured, and drives it daily.

There are grey areas, but if you get caught, your car might end up crushed at the bottom of a lake.

IM not saying that it isnt, but the cances of it not being 100% legal are far greather tna it actually being legal.

yeah, i've read that. Its interesting, but its easy enough to figure out what you need, and it is certainly possible to import trucks.

What i found hilarious about that post is that my truck wouldn't even pass those standards....As in, a japaneese made truck sold in canada has to be picture perfect, but a Japanese made truck sold here doesn't have to meet squat, a bit of a double standard... Pretty funny.

Those 'arent' supposed to be in the US. When I was looking into importation of Unimogs I also got interested in these Toyotas but found they aren't legal on US soil... Not to say someone hasn't driven one over the Canadian border and left it here =P...

There are very rediculous US custom laws regarding cars IMO. The only thing that should limit a cars licensing and or insurance should be friggen emissions everything else is buyer preference and at that it should be state level, not federal. Be nice to have more rural vehicles in the US. Brand NEW vehicles built to take on the Sahara... not these soccer mom boats that guzzle gas and deplete the Earth of its last breath. =(
