87 4runner wont idle/missing 22re

hey new to the forums but read alot on here before and has helped with many problems i had, except this one.
well i blew my head gasket so i pulled my motor and was planning on just putting a new head gasket and saw that my timing chain guides were toast, so any way long story short i have a spare 85 22re that was in way better shape so i put the 85 block/ head, everything in mine with new gaskets and had it running (hardly) it misses, smokes, wont idle. iv checked the timing a hundred times , crank pully at 0 with the #1 cylinder at tdc compression stroke with the cam gear marks slightly to the left of 12:00, then i checked ignition timing witch ive checked a 100 tmes also it all lines up like ive read on my manual cant seem to get it right? i also thought i plugged the second and third injector in backwards so i switched them witch seemed to make it a bit better ( would actually stay running) also i have to press the gas sometime to get it to start
sorry if this confusing, any help would be great. thanks
also it doesnt seem to do it when im on the throttle like reving it.

forgot to metion the only reason i swapped the motors was the pistons and cylinders on the 85 looked mint campared to my old motor, the 85 motor ran fine before i swapped it (it was in my parts truck) idled fine and felt like it had more power than my old one too. also i have checked the trouble code thing, in witch i got 6 blinks and then 7 blinks.

okay so i got thinking and did some more reading on here, and read about the splices on the injectors wiring. well while i was doing the swap i had my wiring harness all unplugged and sat it over the fender to keep it out of the way, the swap took me a couple days so at the end of the day i always moved it back in the engine bay for over night (because im working outside) and moved it back out of the way the next day, my question is do you think moving it back and fourth everyday would have loosened or broke the connections on the splices? because when i take off certain plugs it does not make a difference in idle or the missing, i cant remember which ones exactly right now, but what do you guys think, possible? it kind of makes sense to me i might take it apart tomorrow.

nobody has any suggestions on this??
any way i checked all the splices they seem to be clean and good, when i take plug wire 2 and 3 out it nothing changes so im thinking something between the two aint working, i tested the injectors and all test good. first plug is whitish color, 2 and 3 are wet, and fourth plug is blackish color (sort of wet), and yes i have fire to all cylinders. i changed coil and igniter, all known to be working parts . i need some help its driving me nuts! im probly over looking alot of stuff just need some help as to where to look next?

I'm sure you've already checked compression in #2 and #3 cylinders?

How about by-passing the EGR (put a slice of beer can between the EGR pipe to intake manifold at the rear)? If the EGR spring is weak, exhaust gasses can by-pass the pintle causing a major vacuum leak leading to similar symptoms as yours.
