Hi,

I just picked some Super Swampers Sx's CHEAP! They are 33x15.5x15" on 6x5.5 chevy rims. (BS ?)

I am buying my parts right now for SAS, but I am wondering how much would it take to put them on for now? (stock)

I have no problem w/ doing some trimming...

I have searched, but no one seems to be running a 15.5 wide tires (maybe for a reason).

Any info would be great...

that's too wide without a large lift. my 12.5's rub on the sway bar at full lock turns to the left. Those tires would be awsome in the sand if you have the power to turn them

The 15.5 is what will make it will take A LOT of lift - probably at least one of each type - bracket, BJ spacers, body, etc - all stuff you will spend money on, then cut off when you do your SAS. I'm just guessing, but 6" will probably still rub - need maybe 8".

Also, they're going to be so heavy that your 22RE and IFS are going to have a tough time. At least you have a manual tranny - 5.71's might be OK.

Not so knowledgable on the tires, but I can chip in on the rims.

Chevy rims are probably 4" back spacing, which works nicley(stock is 4.75"). Only issue is it that most Chevy rims have only a 3.5" center hole, where as Toyota uses a 4" hub. I got around this problem with my trusty 4.5" grinder. Took me about 2.5hrs to grind out the center holes on all 5 rims, but they fit like a glove now.

33x15.5's are gonna rub unless you have rims that are EXTREMELY dished and then they'll hit the froint and rear of the front fenders at lock. You'd need to get the bottom body line up over the tires for starters... plus, wide tires SUCK in anything but sand or on a dedicated mud truck. I know they were cheap, but I'd look around for some better tires.

Ok, Thanks for the input guys... I was guessing that would be the problem... My friends brother in law just got a set of (new) 31x10.5 SS TSLs, and I think we might swap!

He will be able to use the 15" wide tire w/out a problem and I will get into a better size... No extra hassle...
