Cant get 22re to base timing

I have an 86 4runner with the 22re without a vaccum advanced distributor. I need to set the timing because i just rebuilt the motor. the truck runs great i just cant figure out how to get it to base timing to set the timing. The plugs that are supposed to be on the left fender are not there. Ive traced the wires and it appears that the plugs where not cut of the harnes. is there any other places the plug can be besides near the coil and/or is there any other way i can get it to base timing without jumping t and e.

Well, you can either just do it by "feel" or...

...Just set timing to about 12 degrees b4 TDC instead of 5. Without the jumper, the notch lines up with the 12* on the crank pulley...or about 12*, with the jumper it's 5*

I have a 93 22re, and I know the jumpers are different on yours so I don't know how to do those, but if you set it to about 12 with the timing light while idling, you should be close.

on a 86 there should be a two wire yellow plug near the air box, for setting the timing
