87 4Runner Auto hubs issue

I know the factory auto hubs leave a lot to be desired, so I am getting the Aisin hubs and spindle kit from Wabbit this weekend.

When I shift into 4Low, my front wheels are not turning. I know the driveshaft is turning, because I had my brother-in-law crawl under the truck this weekend.

Will the new hubs remedy this, or could there be another source of the problem?

Manual locking hubs will remedy this. Its a very common problem for vehicles equipped with Auto locking hubs.

Auto hubs just plain suck.

I should have the hubs ready by Sunday afternoon barring natural disasters or an act of God.

Is the postal service considered an act of god?

^^ I also have the auto hubs, and they suck ass. I am going to also be replacing mine very soon.

How much did you get the hubs and spindle kit for and from who? I was considering getting some from either a local junk yard or fleabay.

^ lucky dude. I dont know if you are trucking different trails, but where I go, my autos put me at a severe disadvantage.

I will be ordering some manual locking hubs from the wabit this month too.

Only took me about 30 minutes to pull off the crappy auto hubs and replace them with the manuals. Thanks for all of your help and advice Sunday.
