Bought this Fri-Love It! Got about 40 miles, shifter stuck in 4th, won't come out. It wanted to pop out of 1st, and would not go into 3rd. Any suggestions?

 

make sure transmission fluid is good and full ... and since you just bought it ... there may be a whole lot of other things that can use servicing ... is this your first 4x4? first toyota truck?

i bought my first 4runner 2yrs ago, i found out slowly over time, all the things that i should have inspected before buying the truck ... knowing what i know now, i might have been able to talk the guy down an extra $500 on the purchase

a lot of these trucks pass through many hands and often folks don't know what they're doing or they just rig something up that will cause problems in the long run

but, overall, i am very very happy with my truck, part of the reason i bought an old rig was so that i could learn ... and play
