86 Toyota pickup vapor canister

Why do I have fuel coming out of the air pipe on the bottom of my vapor canister? It’s a 22re with the base turbo. Having a hard time figuring it out.

Dripping out or pouring out?

If pouring out, you could have reversed the vapor line from the tank with the fuel return line, so you're pumping gas directly into the evap canister.

If dripping out, you can check the vacuum system that pulls the vapors OUT of the canister when the engine is running. Here's the page from the '93 manual to give you an idea of how a canister works. http://web.archive.org/web/201003261...76evaporat.pdf If the engine is not pulling the vapors out, eventually you will get enough adsorbed on the activated charcoal that the vapors will condense and drip out the only way they can go.

Ok great! It’s just dripping so I’ll go ahead and check the vacuum system. Thank you!
