86 pickup troubles

Hey to all
I found this site while doing a sreach for a problem i am having with a 86 22re pickup. I have done a bit of sreaches on this site on my problem but no luck so far. So posting comes next. here is what i am working with.
86 re 2200
had sat from 02-08
replaced plugs, wires, cap, button, coil, and fuel pump, oil, filter, air filter clean.
after that she cranked and run fine.
one day while in a hurry it skiped alittle
now it runs fine until the motor warms up 10-15 miles
then under a load or not if you push it over 2100 rpms it will die like you cut off the switch.
under 2100 runs fine.
push in the clucth revs to 4500
idles high when cold gets a little rough when hot.
also dont think the fuel cap is the ome one if that could cause problems. when you remove the cap it hisses.

looking for somewhere to start on this thing. It is a good old and enjoy it but 30 mph anit cutting.

thanks for the help in advance.

The hissing is normal. Its just the pressure releasing from the fuel line.
I don't know about your other problems.

First off...
It's a 22RE, ~2400 cc's, not 2200.
Some hissing when removing the gas cap is to be expected, particularly when temps swing from cold to hot. At worse, the EVAP canister is not being purged properly.
Cold idle should be high- depending on ambient temp could be as high as 1500 rpms. Warm engine idle is the important thing: should be 750, give or take 50.

Now... are you getting any trouble codes?

Codes are very easy to check and will help you troubleshoot a great deal. With the symptoms you described and no codes, it's a stab in the dark.
