86 pickup with several issues
OK To begin with what will cause my tires to lean even after alignment? my right tire still leans out at the bottom but the alignment guy said he did all he could... and then theres the transmission it dosent like to go into gear but it does like to jump out... of 2nd and reverse... this truck only has 98,000 miles on it. its an 86 with an 8 inch suspention lift so i know that causes many problems. not to mention i wheel the crap out of this thing.

As for popping out of 2nd and rev, make sure that there is clearance between the lever and the body / shell where the lever comes through the tunnel. If anything keeps the lever from moving the shift forks properly, that can cause the trans to pop out of gear... it may even be worn shifter bushings causing the issue.
And tires leaning even after an alignment... a good alignment shop should be able to catch anything worn which would affect the alignment. But if they're not catching it on the rack, I'd maybe think wheel bearings or possibly a ball joint, probably a lower.

i was thinking it would be a ball joint. it dosent have the usual signs of a bad wheel bearing is there any way i can check the ball joint? and when i noticed it jumping out of gear the first thing i checked was the shifter clearance but there is plenty of room. I will check the shifter bushing because i recently replaced the one in my 95 tacoma and its definatly worth the money and effort thanks for the help man

ummmm, is your suspention stock?
BJ-spacers and/or aftermarket control arms really mess with the geometry of the suspention
before my recent suspention remake, which included Rancho UCA's and 1.5" BJ-spacers, the tires at full droop looked like this /-\ now after the mods, at full droop, the tires look like this \-/ completely changed geometry just by relocating a few pivot points!
if stock, about what angle are your lower control arms at? better yet, have a pic?

Ride height should be even before alignment. Could be as easy as that but I doubt it with that tall of a lift and IFS.
Bent parts maybe or frame to lower control arm area bent.
