Problem shopwed up agter the headgasket replacement? I ask because if the headbgaskets were placed on the wrong side, it does just that. Will slowly overheat.

HG was correct and it was running great for a week, even on 50+ mile trips. We found gunk in the head when we pulled it off. You could tell he poured some stop leak in there. I figured the radiator got clogged in the process. So it was replaced and now this... my luck...

Tried to let it run a little while... but it sounds like it is about to shut off. Almost like the idle adjustment is turned all the way down.. any ideas?

Because the gauge temp sender is not on the top of the t-stat housing. Down on the side of the head, between a couple of intake runners.

And it is always a good idea to find out why the head gasket failed in the first place and fix that. I've found that a failed HG is usually a symptom of some other problem. Sounds like yours is a partly clogged radiator.

Wow! I want to thank everyone who chimed in, you guys kick ass!!!! I ran it down the road and just kept running it, finally, whatever had water on it or in it, disappeared. Guys I have to tell you, for now, all of my problems went away. The bad vibration at idle, the overheating, everything, the truck is running smooth. All I can say is wow! I thought this would never end, thanks a billions. The radiator was the culprit!!!! Damn the radiator!!!
