4x4 question, Need Help!!!

I have a 91 pickup 3.0, I'm wondering if the electric for the 4x4 runs through the circuit opening relay, My 4x4 doesnt work and everthing else seems to be ok, the transfer case engages and everything, and when put in four wheel drive you can hear an electrical click underneath the dash and when I unplug the circuit opening relay and put it in 4x4 you dont hear the click, so this is why I'm wondering if it runs through it. Also the dash lights are out and running lights and everything seems to be ok, bulbs, fuses etc..

sounds like you have the same problem as me my vaccum lines had holes in them and that kept the front actuator from engaing so check those and also check your VSV they are under the hood on the passenger side fender iwish i could help you out more but if you dont find the problem there is an alternative all you will need to do is get some manual locking hubs and lock the front actuator and bam 4wheel drive when you need it. there should be a write up on it around here some where for you to use if you decide to go that route

VSV seem to be fine, just was curious if the 4x4 ran through that relay, are the vsv for the 4x4 the ones on the fender mounted upright or the ones a little lower like on the fender well

and for the record:
no, the 4wd system does not interface through the COR... at least if no one has changed the wiring.

Here is what I have so far. I got power to vsv and vaccum, I tried a single line to the actuator to the engage side and nothing, so I would think the actuator is bad. How much vaccum is needed to engage that i got vaccum but doesnt seem like much, it;s not screamin outta the line or nothing, and I dont have a gauge.
