86 4runner sr5 turbo IFS manual swap with G54. very lightly driven, almost never put into 4WD (i just got it). i was wheeling around in 4H and 4L with the hubs locked, but only in 2WD. the tires will spin when the 4WD is engaged and truck lifted. what is my next step in figuring out the problem? are there troubleshooting steps? thank you.

perhaps this is your problem -.^

Unless you mean your hubs were unlocked, and you were in 4H/L
which would mean your hubs might be jammed, or, your hubs were actually locked.

no. shifter was in 4H and 4L and manual hubs were LOCKED. but i am only getting power to the rear wheels. 4X4 does not engage past the front drive shaft.
