Thought of you all the other day.
There was a 95 - real clean on denver clist. Appeared to have no rust. And low (was it 86 or so k) miles. Really sweet looking.
Asked 25 or 30. Never looked to see if it sold. Was manual too.
This one is nice. I don’t like the front bumper fit or clear turn and parking light lenses but those are minor. Looks like the rear interior panels were refinished with a weird shade of gray but better that than the common fading/discoloring. I think it will do very well. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...ner-v6-4x4-30/
I watch these too. That one was nice and I'm convinced most buyers think the 3.0 is more desireable than the 22RE. They alos get enthusiastic over turbos. I searched for the simple 22RE/ 5speed, manual windows. I know the rear quarter gravel guards came in silver but those look like they were left on for the paint job.
The 3vze worked pretty well in the 1st gen., and didn’t suffer the same headgasket issues like it’s successors. The 3vze really became lackluster in the heavier 2nd gen.
It’s the season for 4runners on BaT! They are listing up one after another now.
I’ve always loved this light blue color. With new paint and trim, this one should do well. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...omments-anchor

The fact that the VIN stickers are still on the door, hood, one fender, and maybe tailgate is amazing. You can replace a lot of things, but not those. Once lost they're gone for good.

That’s why when i did bodywork on mine, I chose to rework the driver’s fender instead of use the replacement i bought. The aftermarket fit ok, but the original fit better.

yep. Look at the fit of that right fender in the BaT vehicle compared to left. The aftermarket metal fit is just so subpar
