Here’s a 3.4 swapped ‘89 4r…
why do people paint cars yellow…it would look so much better in a factory paint scheme.

10k for the gray one..not a bad price but i just gave the listing a glance.

The yellow is for people who cant remember where they parked. Early onset alzheimers etc..

But seriously, that ones a head scratcher. Why put so much effort into the build and paint it yellow? Im sure theres a story behind it

It’s been a while!
here’s a decent ‘84, unmolested but i wouldn’t expect it to set any records.

Here’s a 5vz swapped 88 that looks pretty good. Well done interior details.

Holy Moly!!! That truck went for $30,000! I was thinking $17,000-$19,000. I did not see that coming. I wonder how much difference the engine swap made? Did it add to the value since its a better engine, or did it remove value by taking away originality?

surprised me too. Modified ones have not brought the money of stock, low mileage originals.

I would much rather have an original, unmodified truck.

that's what i was thinking, too. and even that would be over-priced imo. but $30K? for the partially black painted interior trim? no way. i'm sure the 3.4 is a nice addtion, too, but not that nice. i'm biased, because i like the 22re in my 2 road-going 4runners.

I'm not going to lie, it made me start taking a look at mine. If prices stay this way through the summer, I will probably see if somebody wants it that much.

Well that's only if the "temporary inflation" has not yet abated.

Very clean, but those wheels and running boards make me angry, but easy enough to ditch and replace. It’s just kinda 90’s checker auto accessorized

Yeah, there’s a lot of bolt on stuff I would be unbolting on this one or would have unbolted before going up for sale. There is no accounting for taste.

and a wicked hack-job with wiring in some of those accessories. totally butchered. too bad, because the chassis and body are excellent.

I've seen this truck before ether here or on Facebook. He posted a photo with a hand gun on the back seat. People went as nuts on it as they did about the wheels. Lol. Hey them wheels were hot in the 90s! I even had a set of the steel ones with black centers and chrome outer. The chrome didn't survive the first winter. Never looked at that company again.

I met the owner of this truck at a Toyota swap meet a couple years ago. Helped him rewire the starter as he was leaving when it wouldn't crank. I'm also surprised it sold for $30,000. Good for him.

Overall, a pretty decent truck. Undercarriage looks decent, and interior was kept clean.
Never was a fan of add-on side moldings, running boards, and aftermarket rims. If they had opted for black, over chrome, and had fewer colors going on they would have been more tolerable. Still would remove them, though.
