With proper tuning (timing advance, premium fuel), you could probably see 10 - 15 WHP from all that. Keep in mind that might be at a very narrow part of the power band though (peak). You might want to add boring the TB out as part of your list too. Just taper it from the opening to the butterfly if you do. A dremel works nicely for that.

You might want to ensure your gear ratio is optimal before you start throwing a bunch of money into the engine; a lot of times the "power" deficiency is a direct result of an over-taxed motor...which the 3.slow is in pretty much every case anyway.

Look into Weazy2k's cams first, they look promising.....such as 38hp on a stock 3.0!

If you decide to do any mods do plenty of research first. Remenber you will spend and exorbinate amount of $$ for 2hp. It might be cheaper and easier to get a newer rig with a 3.4.

I have only owned one 3.slow and it was for 6 weeks. It had an auto tranny too, but I was suprised at its pwr on the fwy compared to my RE's. Around town, no difference.

I would tell you what works well on a RE but that might no correlate, so GL

This doesnt make any more hp, but puts a bunch more to terra firma...

The auto tranny is particularly poorly matched to the 3.0. This is what caused schooler to research a manual tranny swap.

I have not seen much for power mods on the 3.0, but I think you would spend a lot of money for little gain.

Your best, cheapest bet is actually a gear swap - go one step lower (like 4.88 to 5.29)

I was talkin with my dad and he said he is going to pay off hiis 2003 tacoma prerunner and give it to me and sell the 4runner. I was thinking about supercharging his truck is that worth it.
