4runner engine swap

I pulled my 3vze engine from a 91 4runner without pulling the transmission. I purchased a long block and put It back in. it was not easy, but I was able to get torque converter and bell housing bolts all reinstalled and it is tight to the engine block. The engine became real hard to turn by hand after tightening the torque converter bolts. Is it possible to have it out of alignment and still get all the bolt tight? Engine is still extremely hard to turn by hand!

From: Nashville TN. I can help you if you're close BUT NOBODY CAN HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T FILL YOUR LOCATION IN!
It's more than likely just the drag of the torque converter.

The 4runner i am working on is an auto. It is the one i pulled the engine from without pulling the tranny. The new engine was reconditioned block and heads only.

I've heard tell of guys flipping the flex plate or reversing the orientation of the inboard and outboard spacers on the flexplate, you might want to check that. Also make sure that your torque converter is engaged with the pump in the tranny. It may have dislodged when you pulled the other engine. There will be some added drag with the torque converter bolted up, but it shouldn't bind!
