4Runner 2nd Gen 4Runner headliner removal and rail instal info needed.
I searched the net and this site and did not find a decent write up with photo's on this job. I am installing rails to mount a roof rack where I will have a rooftop tent so want it more secure than just self tapping screws.
I figure I should not be lazy and just have bolts and washers on the inside of the cab punched through the headliner.
Is it glued down or screwed?
Do I just drill through sheet metal or look for some support structure.

Good evening, the headliner isn't glued in, held in with the plastic push in clips. You have to remove all the trim that boarders the headliner and out she comes. The fabric is glued to a fiberglass backing. I am going to put a roof rack on as well and will be installing support on the inside of the roof.
