4 runner rear in a truck...

I've got a 92 4 runner rear end with 4.88's and an elocker I would like to install in my 1990 extended cab. I'd like to strip my frame of the leafs, and install this axle using as many as the factory tabs as possible. I would plate any existing tabs that i keep for strength. My thought was to retain the lower tabs and probably the panhard and shock mounts. it looks like the uppers may be better if i start over. maybe a 3 link? I would like to run nice long lower bars for better ride quality. My thought is to use coils in the factory location, and I will probably upgrade to coil overs in the future. I am new to toyotas but this isnt my first project.

ever noticed how most 4Runners, especially 2nd Gens look like they have a load of crap in them because the springs sag so bad...

more work IMO that the benefit especially since you are trying to rework stock stuff-

I think this would be more appropriately addressed to the fab shop:

I'd do your own links. The stock geometry isn't very good. Lots of companies make lower links if you don't feel up to making your own. Offroad warehouse has a weld it yourself kit.
Definitely just start with coilovers and don't bother Fabbing stuff twice. 2.0 coilovers can be had for very cheap used and decently cheap new. Dezert rangers classifieds is a good place to look for used shocks.
The Lucas oil series pro lite short course trucks have a spec geometry link setup you you can use if you want to build your own. The best in desert rule books have a diagram of the chassis layout in it I believe.

Trailing arms on a truck? Okay.

The 4Runner frame is different than the truck. You would need to fab mounts for the trailing arms, so would those be 2 / 3 / 4 link?
Panhard?
Watt's linkage?

Like I said...
