4 runner hard starting/sputtering
ok..
first off this is a 93 22re 4 runner.. i just got it a few months ago.. i still have a 94 that im using for parts because i hit 2 deers. now when i got the truck the engine was just rebuilt the vlutch, distib wires , front brake pads and rear window motor were all new so i got a good deal for 1500 canadian..
the truck seemed the start sputtering when i opened the throttle and over time when the weather seems damp or in the mornings i have a hard time starting and when i do i get smoke out the pipe for a while then its fine... but it also sputters.. doesnt seem to sputter when its nice out...
so i changed the plugs and it started RIGHT AWAY and no sputtering.. works great for 2 weeks... then bang having the same issue.. i look at the plugs and they are kind of fouled.... any idea on what this might be???
i have bought a fuel filter but it looks like a hard time to get at and i was hoping to do a 1inch body lift first cause i heard that makes the jon alot easier.. i have a whole spare parts truck that ran great but i dont want to swap the engine because me DD should have a rebuild under 10k.
also when i was under my rig today i noticed that what i think is the torsion bar connects the a arm to the sway bar is off on the passenger side.. it looks like the bolt came off and the bushing is gone... can i take the one off my other truck and replace it or should i take both off the other truck and do both??
how bad is it to drive around town with no torsion bar

Assuming it's rebuilt correctly, smoke (black) is usually an indication of being too rich.
First, check it for codes.
Second, check it for vacuum leaks.
Third, check the operation of the AFM and make sure that the tubes that run from that AFM to the TB have no leaks in them.
