3zve engine / vacuum question

Hi guys, my truck is an 88, the motor is apparently out of a 95. It's a 3zve.

Are these vacuum hoses correct? I get the feeling the one with the cap should have a hose.

Also, my TPS seems to be on 180 degrees different than other 3zve's I've seen. Yet there is no room for it to be on the opposite side. And the part I circled hits the TPS.

So I'm totally lost whats going on with this motor. Please give me your advice!!

Thank you, thats what I thought, I just wanted to confirm it with another person with the same motor. (And I see you have a 95 auto v6 so thats perfect). Thanks!

There were several iterations of throttle body design for the 3VZE. Some have the TPS flipped around, like yours. Some have that dash pot above the TPS, like yours. Mine has neither, it is an '89.

Not sure on the vacuum line. Mine has a line connected to it, but I do not have a good picture of where that line connects on the other end. Picture below.

Thanks for the input OutlawMike, I think that explains it. The motor and throttle body is out of a 1995, but the TPS is mounted in the "stock" position of the 1988 4runner. So it's really not meant to be that way.

This all makes me wonder what else is weird on my truck. I'm only getting 9 mpg so I've been trying to figure things out and what could be causing it.
