Hey guys I went out to start up my 4runner today and it wouldn't fire up, when I cranked it over it start to fire up then die. I held down the gas and tryed starting it and it started up but it wasn't happy about it, I popped the hood while it struggled to idle and I noticed the engine would kinda surge and then idle and surge again. I think it might not be getting good spark cause I pulled of the cap and rotor and both seeemed to have bad wear, the rotor arm has a bend in it and the cap has burns. I could bhe wrong tho a friend said it could be low compresstion

 

Well if the rotor arm is bent & the cap burnt, there's two problems right there.

Have you checked for CEL codes yet?

 

It acually happened to be a bad ignition coil, got it fixed today. Its werid that the coil went out that's rare in vehicles
