Thanks for the update. Glad to know that worked for you!

Yep, passenger side cylinder head toward the firewall. You can't really see it, I had to find it by feel then tighten it with a swivel and an extension on the socket.

was plagued with hot starting for over a year as well and delt with it stalling at idle red lights and stop signs, wouldnt start for over an hour after cooling.. i replaced all my vac hoses because of a vac leek, didnt fix the hot start but helped it run better. Replaced cap/rotor, serviced the entire intake plenum suroudnings, gaskets, hoses, cold start injector, serviced the injectors, new spark plugs/wires, all helps but still no fox on hot start. Later found out i had a double missfire, dead injector #1 and a bad distributor, replaced them both and no longer unable to hot start!! runs great. Not sure if it was either or that fixed the issue.

It's on the passenger side cylinder head, near the back (firewall end), kind of tucked up under the intake manifold/structure. Can't remember if it ties into the wiring harness, or goes straight to the firewall... Sorry I can't be a little more specific or get a picture, I no longer own this particular 4runner.
