3VZE Engine block ground strap attachment?
I have been trying to clear a code 52 on my 94 3vze and found out I missed to reattach the engine block ground strap after taking everything apart to replace the HG . That's the wire that goes from the firewall to the block. I don't recall under which bolt it was attached, and I must have searched internet to find a picture of it with no avail, and the FSM doesn't specify it. I tried placing it under one of the intake bolts, but I'm still getting a code 52, no KS signal, and I wonder if the block is getting proper ground. The issue could also be related to the KS wiring, but before going after that I want to be sure I'm getting a good ground at the block. Could someone please let me know, or even better post a pic of where the strap must be bolted? I'll totally appreciate it. Thanks!

I don`t have any of those little grounds
any attachment point that is clean and tight will work the block is better then the aluminum heads
as long as you have your main negative battery cable attached to the block.
A good clean contact to the block at the sensor you will have a good ground
simple to test with your meter positive battery terminal with the red lead the block with the black lead should read battery voltage
It might be your knock sensor Pigtail .
Maybe even a bad connection

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. I checked with the MM as you pointed out, and did have good ground everywhere, including the block. So I bit the bullet, shelled the money for OEM KS and wire harness, took apart the intake for the 4th time, reassembled it....and finally after 1 month of PITA I got rid of code 52. Man I love my truck...but the 3vze is just a POS design and makes me regret not getting a 22re.
