3VZE CS Performance Injector Replacements

So My injectors are in very rough shape to say the least, at least two clogged and to top it off my buddy that installed them when doing my rebuild decided to put weatherstrip adhesive on the connectors instead of zip ties. (he claimed it would be easy to get them off again, man i had to cut the connectors to get the injectors out and use pliers to break the connector off the injector)

Anyways I found a company called CS Performance that remanufactures fuel injectors. They claim to use USA made parts and are rebuilt in the US as well. They had really good prices as my entire set of 6 cost me $190 after shipping and tax.

When I placed the order from them, a day later I got an email for them offering to upgrade the injectors I bought for free, I could either get the exact same OEM style injector, or the upgraded type free of charge.

They look like the newer injectors in GM cars, in the email they claimed they are the newer denso injector style body, with the upgraded parts for reliability inside.

Curious to see if anyone has had any experience with this company, and how they ended up liking the product.

I will be posting my experience with these injectors once I get them installed, there will be new connectors installed that I ordered from another place as I had to cut mine to get old injectors out.

Just installed the new injectors and hooked everything back up. Took quite a while to crank the truck initially, and when it finally started running it ran very rough for about 5 minutes, with white smoke coming from tailpipe.

After 5 minutes of running rough it smoothed out and started giving me very responsive throttle. I can only assume I was burning the cleaner they used to assemble the injectors. I test drive it around the block and I now have way more power than previously did before. I couldn’t get faster than 55 mph before with the old clogged injectors.

The new ones come with all the seals needed to make them plug and play which was easy. Took me about an hour to get them in and re assemble everything (previously had the plenum unbolted and just flipped to the side, as i waited for new injectors.)

So far very impressed with how well my engine is running. Will continue to update my thoughts on the injectors as they get more wear on them.

Just wanted to post an update on the injectors.

Since my engine rebuild I had been chasing a very rich condition. There was so many new parts, plus a history of mice in the wiring harness it took me months to figure out my rich issue. I found a couple faulty wires to sensors and that never solved it, a few vacuum leaks, all that good stuff.

Today I finally tracked down the root cause to the fuel injectors. The Pintle on 4 of the 6 injectors cracked and broke, just DUMPING fuel into the engine. I was averaging 11.5-12.0 MPG. Seemed like it was a weak point in the design.

I reached out to CS Performance and they were happy to tell me I have a lifetime warranty on the injectors. I vouched to have them replaced with the old OEM style injectors. Will update with how those run once installed.

I currently have about 3,000 miles on the current (new styled) injectors.

Customer service has been great so far.
