Nice job on that intake! I always thought the same thing about the air changing direction so abruptly, and wondered if a upper manifold swap/conversion could be possible (even with some other brand like Chrysler 3.3L, or from a Supra 5MGE)? Or maybe something wilder like an upper/lower complete intake manifold from the 3liter v6 found in '80's Dodge Caravans/Dynastys/Shadows/etc.? It could almost be set up with ram air. Just thinkin' ouside the box (as usual for me).

Guys, the work has been already done design wise. Take a look atyour basic 5.0L mustang. Our intake plenum is EXACTLY like theirs in design. Next have a looksee at all the aftermarket mustang 5.0 plenums there are.... Makes one's noggin starta movin!

Did you just compare a Mustang to a 4Runner. Unspeakable of! BAN HIM! NO SPAM!

Just kidding man.

I do understand what you are trying to say though, we are kind of behind on modding our 4runners, but it's nice to see that people are still interested and working on this stuff. It livens YT up as well. I don't know if you heard of the 400hp 3VZE. It shows that all this might've been done already, but it's still nice to see a group of people working on a common and good solution that many people can put in their trucks for cheaper than a custom setup.

FOUND IT!!! -> https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...orsche+Cayenne

I dunno, there was this thread on Yotatech not too long ago that was about a 2nd gen 4Runner smokin' a Porsche Cayenne and another car the writer was in. He was inquiring about whose truck that was and it turned out to be someone who was banned here a long time ago for something. It's some crazy modified 3VZE. I'll try and find the thread if I can.

Oh and I lied, it's 500+ HP, 490 RWHP.
