It may not be the ECU. Is the CEL illuminating when you turn the key to ignition?

Good. Then, try shorting the two diagnostic terminals labeled FP and B+ located in the diagnostic port under the hood. Use a paper clip or stiff wire. This bypasses the fuel pump relay and AFM fuel pump switch circuits. See if it will run then.

Test the distributor, yet? If the ECU doesn't get crank rotation feedback, it won't fire the injectors.

I understand that. But, if the Ne and/or G1 signals are lost to the ECU at any point upon ignition or running, then the ECU injector driver's will not operate.

the only way I know of testing the distributor is taking the cap off and turning the key... see if the rotor spins.

UPDATE: Apparently i got a WHOLE new VAFM. I got it at whole sale cost for 182.63. It wasn't just the clip.

That's not the way to test the distributor. Here's a good start.....

You're looking to test the pick up coil/signal generator.

Doesn't the "Pulse" from the Distributor activate the Igniter module and then the igniter activate the coil that send electricity to the spark plugs?
