It has a couple problems still.. but it's gotta be the best truck I've owned so far, I'd love to drop a vintage v8 and make a monster, anyone ever do that? I saw an older s10 with ˟˟˟˟ primer paint at a country corner store, with a monster under the hood, he barely had the touch the gas to burnem out, the idle and the headers peekin behind the front tire was just sick. That's what I want my a truck, a true sleeper.

Anyways, shift solenoids, about how long would that take to replace them, would you say it's easy? . found them for 65 bucks, sometimes the truck wants to start in second in d, but if i pedel it right it'll find it's way and be perfect all day until those damn short stoppers no blinker fux.

Leaks a lil oil, go through half a quart every week or so, so i mean, it's getting fresh oil, so that's always a plus. If i could afford it I'd change it's oil every month or less. I'm guessing it's a seal somewhere by the connection of tranny and motor, what's the deal with those? lil by lil I want to make a pristine motor. Changed plugs with NGK Gpower, it seems to really like it, the ones I pulled out looked oooold and the same thing.

I'm about to take it across country to a job, so I did 100 mile shakedown run today and it's doin lovely, not a hickup, it's gonna be a good one. if yall give a ˟˟˟˟, i'll post the tale, if you dont ill post it anyway

cleaned out the throttle body and everything but the air filter , it was pretty gross, maybe I'll clean up air filter unless they sell one for these at autoparts stores? then I'll buy a brand new one, it deserves it and more

Auto store will have a new air filter, shift solenoids are pretty easy to change, there is a write up for it online. Valve cover and all so the half moon seals and crank seal are common leaking points.

is there oil leaking aboge the tranny too? or just out the bottom. Valve covers are known problematic beakers on this motor.

got a new air filter, trucks runnin great. Shifted through everything and ran it for a second, and then parked it, shut it off, then made a run to the store and this thing acted like a whole new animal, it's like it found the gears I was missing, I feel like I was only hitting 2 and 4 or somethin in comparison. Runs beautiful. Fixed the coolant leak, still leaks a bit of motor oil, power steering pump leaks like a civ but that and oil is cheap enough not to care. Yeah my valve cover on drivers side leaks a lil but I can't see any runs where it'd make the little puddle it is making. It's def between oil pan and tranny, it's just marking its territory i guess.
