Off-Road-Solutions (who want to sell you the harnesses, etc. you will need) has some pretty good write-ups. http://www.offroadsolutions.com/tech...ical-articles/ It doesn't look too easy to me, but lots of people do it. Be sure to review the experience of others on YotaTech.

Read the3.4 swap section stickies .

A swap is something it just depends where your skills are the weakest.

I think the wiring harness work is the easy part of the whole job as long as you have the info at hand

There are soooooo many variables;
2wd? 4wd? solid axle or ifs? Auto? manual trans? a/c? does the donor block have the plug for the oil dipstick? or will it need to be drilled? can you make your own cross over pipe? can you make your own battery tray? How well can you read and figure out wiring diagrams? Read and re read the 3.4 swap section. I've done almost thirty of these swaps and couldn't have done the first one without having gone through the 3.4 swap section.

It still amazes me that people post all over the forum but in the 3.4 swap section.

Asking how much work is involved I have to wonder .

Then me I will read anything Just a simple search engine of your choice gives so many hits .

Then you can narrow it down to just what you have .
