So... I'm rebuilding my 3.0 and have this engine gasket kit that comes in one big bag of mixed up parts. I searched, but could only find jumbled bits of information. I thought it would be beneficial for not only me, but anyone else on here in the future that goes for the rebuild. I've got pics of almost all of the parts in the gasket kit with numbers underneath. If anyone wants to help that would be great, but I will be identifying these and labeling with a part number for future reference. Thanks...

aww crap man. I did the same thing on Joe's thread somewhere. I have to get going to work....

pressed paper = water
flat gold-ish paper = gas
big metal circles are for the exhaust
some rubber ones are for the injectors if you weren't sending them out
bigger rubber ones are for the injectors cups (I call them that) that the injector bottoms go into (those cups are expensive and if you buy them they do NOT come with the gaskets so you have to use the ones in your kit)
there should be a rubber ring approx 3/4'' diameter for where the oil pump meets the block towards the driver's side
I will be home tonight and I will scour his pics.
plain old metal rings (like washers) are crush washers for fuel

find the diagram on www.toyotapartseast.com and print the pic and match it from there

I looked for it, but didn't find it.... I found the part where you tried to ID the gaskets in the first pic, but not all the others... I've tried toyotapartseast.com, but the diagrams aren't detailed enough to determine some from others.

it's highly likely I did what I suggested and printed off that pic of the diagram of the parts and started trying to make sense of it from there.

and by process of elimination is how you will likely get most of them. bag and tag what you know and start to narrow the unknowns.

I've been bagging and tagging just thought it would be nice to have all this info in one spot online with pics for folks doing this job in the future.
