3.0 problems

Ok. I picked up an 88 runner sr5 3.0 with bad head gasket. i got another 3.0 from a friend who was parting out his 91 pickup. the engine has high miles but ran fine in his truck. I swaped this engine into my truck and it runs, kind of. it will start but it it runs very rough. it almost dies when i put the auto in gear and has even less power than a normal high milage 3.0. i checked the timing, checked for vacum leaks and i don't have any codes. what do you guys think the problem could be? thanks in advance for the help

?

Thanks guys i did check all the grounds and I had to use the 88 injectors because the plugs are different i am now thinking mabey i have a vacum line hooked up wrong and the egr is staying open or mabey i have an injector that is sticking open. what do you think? oh and did i mention this this thing is a major P.I.T.A to work on. I swaped out my 22r in my last truck in about half a day by myself. this one took all weekend with another mechanic helping me one of the days.
