3.0 power loss

the past few days ive noticed my check engine light turns on. but now its mostly always on. ive noticed a noticable loss in power. but when it the lights off usually for a minute when i first start it it has plenty of power.

this ever happpen to anyone?

did your check engine light go on? and was it a consistant problem?

had the same problem when I first got my runner. check engine would come on and it would run super rough. Ended up being the knock sensor. Might want to look into that....

im looking into that and the o2 sensor. any idea how much a shop will charge to read the codes?

You can scan it yourself with a paper clip.Jump the service connection by the fuse block under the hood. There is a tag that shows which pins to jump. Tnen turn the key on and count the short and long flashes on the dash.Search the post on how to do it.
