3.0 lIFTERS
Hi guys, got the heads off my '93 3.0. Taking to machine shop today for
resurface. I was looking at the lifters and can't figure out how to get them
apart to look at or measure shims. This type of lifter set-up is totally new to
me.

there's a bucket on top of the valve and spring and the shim sets on top of that.
you might want to check this out:

Messed with the lifters abit and got the shim out. They can " be a bugger ". Now that I
see how it works, valve adjustment should be easy - just time consuming.
