3.0 engine removal help

when removing the engine, does the transmission need to be lowered or supported by a jack? first time attempting this project of swapping out the motor.

We supported, and even jacked up the tranny just a tad. Gives you a better angle to separate the tranny from the motor.

And swapping a 3.0 sucked, btw......

The best location to put jack is just in front of where cross member is connected. Trans almost balances perfectly there.

Thanks Wabbit. That statement is also correct.

Just be careful of those sensors on the back of the motor.....
