would anybody have any ideas on a intake system for a 3.0 4runner. I f you have some pics of this mod being done please post them

I think a good mod to do for the stock 3.0 airbox would be to open up the box on the side facing the fender and somehow run an air duct into the inter fender to suck air from there as well as the stock opening facing the front.

I never did it on my old 3.0 but I did something similar when installing my 3.4 airbox. It breathes from the inter fender, BTW so do the Tacomas:



The hole wouldn't need to be that big since you could also keep the original front opening. I know its possible on the 3.0 because I saw one guy a long time ago that ran pipe for a snorkel through the inter fender. Just be careful not the hit any of the body wiring harness when cutting the hole. If you pull the turn signal out you can see up into the space without taking the fender off:
