2wd body on 4wd frame

good morning, i have a 93 xtra cab 4x4 thats mech. is great, but the body is shot. i just bought a 94 2wd extra cab with a blown motor but a rust free body. has anyone ever put a 2wd body on a 4x4 frame? i know the fenders are diff, and i'll have to make mods for the shifters. i'm a 20+ yr toyota tech so i have the tech expertise to do it, just looking to get ahead of any complications before i start. thanks

Id the 2wd body a stick or auto? I'm thinking that other than the t-case shifter everything should go on pretty well? the front fenders and grill are different, but if you are swapping entire body it shouldn't be a big deal.

I think he's right should be pretty easy I mean if you're swapping both fenders and grill and with the engine being auto or stick could run into some issues I'm not sure

Just take a tape messure to the frame mounting points, If those match everything else will fall into place except the trans shifter hole, You have to make a plate if you go auto from stick or use shears if going MT from AT

Red face

Wow does no one look at dates !!

The second poster brought this back to ask a question unrelated to the thread.

Your 4x4 is worth just as much as someone wants to pay for the parts !!

Just what part of the country ??

The dry Southwest you could make a good return

I have found if I need to pull a major part to sell I am better off just taking it for scrap.Herein the great rust belt

You might want to tell us just what good parts you have.

How many miles!!

Just what year ??

Just what you have ??
