Hey there, welcome to yotatech and be ready to open up that wallet. Most people up here would agree that a brush guard is for looks and for looks only but be that as it may, I LOVE MY BRUSH GUARD. i love the way it looks on my 4runner. Many people up here will suggest you to look for a ARB or TJM bumper. While they are very stout, i think they lack in the looks area. If your wallet can handle the loss, by all means go with an ARB or TJM but if you want looks only then go with a brush guard. Check around locally. I found mine with a brand new powdercoating for 150 locally. By the way, what year 4runner do you have?

hey wow thanks for the fast reply and I'm glad to be here, I just got a 95 rwd auto with only 90k on it. Brush guard sounds good and it looks good also on yours! I'll look around but I'm a noob when it comes to 4runner parts.

Even though i have a 3rd gen i just thought id add this; i left my 4runner in a parking lot and someone (an idiot) hit my front end, the only thing that saved my front end was the brush guard. it was pretty banged up but it did save the bumper and head lights.

I had a Westin Safari light bar for a while, and it worked well for the lights, but I didn't like the idea of it getting thrashed while wheeling (they're just for mounting lights and not really a "brush guard") so I sold it, but it worked well for it's intended purpose.

Westin and WAAG would be my preffered choices. The one on my 4runner is a WAAG but i am pretty sure a westin looks the exact same. Either way, ull be happy with the looks of it. Post up some pics of your 4runner.

I got mine from a guy locally. He blew the head gasket in his 94 4runner and was parting it out and i gladly picked it up for 150 with a fresh powdercoating on it. I got such a steal on it. WAAGs brand new are 400, i was checking them out right before i bought the one i have now. Im not positive but i though that Westins were just a hair cheaper. If these are too high for ya, keep your eye out on ebay and on the marketplace here. Sometimes youll run across some pretty good deals. Good luck.
