2nd gen ABS system information

Why is it there is so little information on the ABS hydraulic modulator? I have searched the web and the manuals for at least an exploded view diagram of this item and found only one picture of it. I am talking about the part that mounts to the frame under the battery that runs off of power steering pressure. This is very expensive and hard to find part and there is virtually no information on rebuilding it. An exploded view would help immensely. Does anyone know where to find this???
Your help would be appreciated
Thanks

You should post a pic and specs on rig. I'm not tracking ABS until 1996 on US market.

Bummer, looked around and I have no idea.

Don't think ABS was offered on 22RE rigs in US. Do you know anyone that has a copy of FSM? I don't know if the FSM will be country specific but know that of the FSMs I've looked at none of them coverage features not available here, ie diesel motor

No, I don't know why Toyota doesn't describe rebuilding this part.

It's a 1993 4Runner with the 3.slow and auto trans. 4x4. I have searched the internet, the manuals, the Toyota dealer. I have found one Toyota parts place that caries the part for 700 dollars and I have found one picture of it. Posted above. Even the parts manuals show something there, but no part number or description of any kind.
Don't understand why the part is so evasive. The unit works, but I am starting to get some fluid leaking from the rubber drain tube shown in the pic above and I don't know why without opening it up/ It would be nice to know what to expect if I open it!
I see scope103 found at least a name and how to replace it, But I still need a rebuild procedure , or at minimum an exploded view to see what parts I will need.
Thanks Scope 103! Nice work!
It must be one of those top secret Toyota parts!! LOL

Look on eBay, there is what looks to be an exploded view of an actuator but not for a 1993. But I could be the same thing.

Ebay was not the 93. It must be rare or something. only on 90 to 94 models.

The FSM has a detailed test procedure which requires a toyota special tool. The FSM does not have a disassembly procedure.

Thanks. Strange the lack of info on this. The unit is functioning correctly, it's just leaking out the drain tube. I am just dealing with it. I keep a rag shoved under it for now.

I have the same issue on my '93 4runner 2wd. I'm ready to take this ABS actuator out and re-route the brake and PS lines but I'd rather not. Did y'all figure this out?

I finally got it to seal with new O-ring and sealer on the fitting. It's been ok since. I also drained the system and put in new ATF fluid.
