That's cool.
It's helpful to many that wanna follow your lead if you post the pics and part #'s of the stuff you used...
When I swap something out, or change/ modify a part, I try to add the part # in my thread...
Some guys run them to a vac port on the engine... lol, I can't think of one on the V6... But there should be one.

Hard to tell from the pics but you don't want any droops or low points in hose cause if you have an incident where oil goes up the hose past that point it will stay there and not drain back down and build up pressure. Does that make sense?

michael1963 - The stock axle breather gets clogged and causes overheating/leaking. when you extend it to an air tight area, it no longer causes issues.

I thought these were called diff breathers? But diff extension is cool, too. I like to make up names for mods that have already been named.

diff breather extension... technically, you have a diff breather. but you're making it longer...
and im aware of where he put his. i've never seen it done on a 2nd gen. if you'd like to go "search" for a 2nd gen to prove me wrong, by all means, go for it

Okay, okay, so if you havent done this mod yet, then do it today before you end up like me with a leaking seal.
Did the mod prior to installing a new rear-end 6 months ago and yesterday noticed a spin spray of <swear-word> lucas scented oil on the inside of my drivers side rear tire!
Of course the diff breather was caked with mud and clogged! How could I have put this off leaving the $20 peice of tygon tubing pushed up above my spare?? The breather nipple got unknowingly discarded with my old unattainable rear-end.
The seal is cheap, but what a waste!!!.. of an afternoon. Does anyone have the part number or old link to the thread with the part number for the breather nipple? Thought it was a 4-crawler part?
