22re TPS question

I have a 89 22re pickup and when ever i go on longer road trips in it, the tps starts sticking on me. The idle wont go down below 2,000 rpm unless i get out and tap on the sensor, then it will drop. Other than that the sensor seems to work fine. Should i replace it or could i clean it somehow???

Yeah, try cleaning the throttle body, as well. Clean just mechanical linkage on the TPS, though. You wanna be careful with electrical stuff.
