22re starting problem

22re starting problem

Hi all, I have a 89 pu w/22re. Wont start turns over fine just wont fire up. I pull the efi fuse and put it back and it starts fine about 2 or 3 times then wont start. Just rebuilt 500 mi ago started fine now having problems. any ideas?

I have a '94 Camry that had this same problem a few years ago. The fuse slot in the fuse block got loose and the fuse would make intermittent contact. I bent the fuse spades into a slight "v" shape to make it fit tight in the slot and have had no problems since. When the car wouldn't start, the "check engine" light wasn't coming on either since there wasn't power to the ECU. Take a look and see if your light comes on when you turn the key to the ON position.

wasnt the fuse. still having the same problem.

Ok I fixed it. I unplugged the computer cleaned male and female connectors plugged it back in. Has started fine for a month and a half.
