Unhappy 22re stalls then runs OK??

My 93 4wd, 22re rebuilt with around 8,000 miles, has been running fine though it idled a little rough (not stock cam). Now it will start and run but stalls almost immediately. It was running the other day but would stall as soon as you gave it gas. then it ran for a while. Seems like problem comes and goes. I think it is fuel related. I tried pinching off the return fuel line but it made no difference. Checked all the grounds, they seem good. Fuel pump was new at rebuild, head is re-man, injectors new at re-build. Fuel filter was changed at re-build. Took it to a mechanic and he said it is not throwing any codes. Have been inspecting wiring harness but have not found anything. Any thoughts would help. when I disconnected the return line and started it, fuel came pumping out. Tried spraying brake clean around vacuum lines but no difference. Also checked catalytic converter but it is not blocked Help!

may be the vaf meter not opening and the engine kills the fuel pump...
you need air to keep it running, so when you start it it should turn over like normal then almost instantly kill itself. put the connector and check the pins...
