22re Missing Sometimes?
Just bought the truck about a month ago which had a little miss on it. The rotor and cap were really bad so I changed them and the truck ran great for about a week. Now when cold it will run fine until it gets pretty warm and it will start to miss only sometimes. The worst is when I'm in 2nd or 3rd gear I start to bring the RPM's up and sometimes it will be just a noticable miss but then sometimes the engine will be jumping like crazy missing until I shift into 4th. Other times, also when warm, it will run fine through the gears.
When on the freeway there will be a constant miss about every 10-20 seconds as well. Plugs and wires seem okay but will probably change them soon and possibly fuel filter. What else would cause engine misses to be totally random like this?

Yeah I was going to run down to the parts store and pick up a new filter and wires. As for timing; where is the timing mark at on the engine? Is it on the timing cover somewhere? I tried looking but I think it may be covered in grease/dirt.

Messed with the timing and it seems to be fine. Still missing pretty good. Changed wires and plugs and not too much of a difference.
Check the TPS and possibly new fuel filter? Any other things to check? It idles really rough and shakes the entire cab pretty good.

TPS checked out good, compression was good. Figured it had to be my injectors so I took a look at them and I'm almost certain this is the problem. These things definitely seem like they've seen better days. Going to have them cleaned at a local shop I know for about $25 an injector. Can't wait to have her running good as new!
