22RE Knock Sensor help

I'm at work now and I don't have my manual so i can't reference this, but does anyone know how to test a knock sensor and long do they typically last? I'm assuming it's an OHM test? Does anyone know where the sensor is on the bolc too? Thanks...

KS is a piezo-electric device, puts out a small voltage for a specific frequency of mechanical vibration. Typically last a long time, common failure is the wire to it breaks. FSM has testing procedure. Located at 9:30 position relative to oil filter.
