I have an 89 4runner 22re, it recently started idleing rough. Fuel pump is new. When cold it idles perfectly. after about 2 minutes it acts like it "loading up" on fuel,getting too much fuel. If I rev it and hold rpm at about 2k it runs great, but wont idle. I checked the cold idle injector to make sure its not leaking, its good. I ran the codes although cel was not on, it gave me a 41 , so I changed the TPS. Not sure if I have it adjusted right, but it still idles smooth when cold then gets rough and dies. It will still run good at higher rpm. Have checked plugs and wires, all are ok. cleaned throttle body. and all injectors are firing. I'm baffled, any advice would be appreciated, thanks

 

Have you tried adjusting the idle air bypass screw? Mine had the same problem, or what it sounds like, and doing that fixed it : )

 

yep mine had the same problem.. and turning that screw a little bit solved it.
