22RE high idle problem.

Okay, So i just rebuilt my 22re and when i first started it, i had to turn the idle up becuase it was really low and surging. Fired it up and it was all good. I drove it around for a couple days, and it was running fine. Then i got home one day and the idle shot up from factory 750 to about 1500 and wouldnt go down. So i turned the idle down back to 750, and drove it around for the rest of the day and it was fine. Until i got back home again and it was surging, like to low of idle. So once again i turned the idle back up to where i had it origionally at 750. Now it shot back up to 1500 and running to high.

My question is, Did i forget to hook somthing up during the installation or does this sound like an airleak?

I already checked the throttle plate, and its not sticking. Im kind of lost here.

I adjusted the idle with the idle set screw.

Check the o-ring on the idle screw. If it's worn out, the screw will vibrate and spin up or down (mine did both).
