22RE Heads, Options and thoughts??
So I am building a 22RE to drop into my pickup. I am going to warn those who may read this that yes I know that for the money I am spending I could have done plenty of other things, engine swaps, etc, but this is my route of choice and while any comments are welcomed, I am looking for some insight on the question at hand.
Bottom end is going to be a New OEM shortblock, with other assorted OEM bits rounding it out, so now I am looking for any thoughts on how to top things off. I have been looking at LCE, 22REPerformance, and Engnbldr. All 3 offer a similar price point head that would come with a head and cam. LCE is looking like a good option right now since I think they might offer the best bang in the price point I am looking at. They all claim "new" castings but I am curious as to the experiences that all of you have had with each.
It seems that the folks here on yotatech have the best all around insight on various 22re upgrades by various manufacturers, so what do you all think.
Thanks,
Matthew

i have the Engnbldr performance head and the 261 cam in my 1994 pickup, theirs noticeable power difference and great custom service. My mpg has stayed the same (21 mpg average) ,more torque off idle and seemed to gained about 500rpm in the powerband. when it was stock it kinda fell on its has face around 4500rpm and now theirs seems to be power around 5000rpm.

Thanks,
That is great information and what I was looking for. I will be doing the bulk of my driving from off idle to 3500-4000 rpm, so generally looking for something with more low to middle power. I don't generally redline it often, so top end is less of a concern.
