Question 22RE distributor Question

I have an 1987 22RE, what should the timing be set at?? And how much advance should the distributor have, Or motor get?? What control the advance of the motor??

5 BTDC with the diagnnosis connector grounded.
That is the Te1 and E1 terminals need to be shorted together.
The ECU controls the advance.
